Volunteer at The Storehouse

Volunteer Information

There would be no Storehouse without Volunteers. Since Pastor Titus Scholl started distributing food from an organization called The Storehouse in 1969, volunteers were there to help, and have been here ever since -- volunteers working together to assure that our customers are served with dignity and respect.

we will always need help in the following areas:

registering our customers at our front desk
supervising our clothing distribution
assisting customers in the food store
sorting and grading donations of food and clothing
stocking the food shelves
stocking the clothing racks
answering phones
directing traffic in our parking lot
cleaning: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming (we have a big house!)

Other Volunteers are needed to help us in other ways too...

...to help tell the story of The Storehouse
...to encourage other Organizations to participate in our work
...to give tours of The Storehouse

Do you speak Spanish? We need Spanish speakers!

The volunteer program is professionally managed by a staff member of The Storehouse. Storehouse policy and a Volunteer Handbook govern the program and we have regular training sessions so that our volunteers may quickly and thoroughly learn what The Storehouse is all about.

We need volunteers for both morning and afternoon shifts!
