The Storehouse distributes free food and clothing to those in need.

New Food Policy for 2008

The Storehouse is a private food pantry. It is not a government agency. However, each year The Storehouse has received money from the federal government to buy food. But this year, the government money, if it arrives at all. will arrive very late. And, concern has been expressed by the government that food organizations are giving food to undocumented aliens. Because of these problems, The Storehouse will have less food to distribute, and changes in our food service are necessary.

Beginning April 1, 2008

Customers may come to The Storehouse 6 times until the end of 2008.

Customers may choose any 6 months, but may come only once each month.

Beginning in 2009, customers may come to The Storehouse 6 times during the entire year.

To receive food, customers - HUSBAND AND WIFE - must have a New Mexico ID. NO EXCEPTIONS!

These changes do not apply to distribution of clothing and may continue to pick up clothing once a month.

*The Storehouse apologizes for these changes and hopes to go back to regular service shen more food money is available.

Customers may shop for food OR shop for clothing, but may not shop for both on the same day.

Customers who shop for food may return in the same month and shop for clothing. Customers who shop for clothing may return in the same month and shop for food.

Customers who have shopped for food and clothing once in any month may not shop at The Storehouse until the next calendar month.

Sign Up For Services

All customers must register annually with The Storehouse. Returning customers are not required to re-register in the same year.

To Register, Customers must have a:

NEW MEXICO DRIVERS LICENSE, or a

NEW MEXICO STATE-ISSUED PICTURE ID

If customers are registering children, customers must have a COPY of one of the following:

• Children's Birth Certificate
• Children's Baptismal Certificate
• Children's School Enrollment Form
• or other certification of parentage

(Note: Medicaid cards & Social Security cards are NOT accepted as Children's ID.)
