Get Help from The Storehouse

The Storehouse distributes free food and clothing to those in need.



When Food Is Available:

The Storehouse opens it doors to customers at 8:45 a.m., Tuesday through Saturday, and remains open until 11:00 a.m. (It is highly recommended that customers arrive early; there is always a line outside our door.)

Numbers are issued to customers waiting in line, and customers are served in numbered order.

Food Policy

The Storehouse is a private food pantry. It is not a government agency.

Changes in food availability will require changes in food service.

Customers may come to The Storehouse once each month.

Customers may shop for food OR shop for clothing, but may not shop for both on the same day.

Customers who shop for food may return in the same month and shop for clothing. Customers who shop for clothing may return in the same month and shop for food.

Customers who have shopped for food and clothing once in any month may not shop at The Storehouse until the next calendar month.

To receive food, customers - HUSBAND AND WIFE - must have a New Mexico ID.

NO EXCEPTIONS!



It is highly recommended that customers arrive early; there is always a line outside our door.



Sign Up For Services

All customers must register annually with The Storehouse. Returning customers are not required to re-register in the same year.

To Register, Customers must have a:

NEW MEXICO DRIVERS LICENSE, or a

NEW MEXICO STATE-ISSUED PICTURE ID

If customers are registering children, customers must have a COPY of one of the following:

  • Children's Birth Certificate
  • Children's Baptismal Certificate
  • Children's School Enrollment Form
  • or other certification of parentage

(Note: Medicaid cards & Social Security cards are NOT accepted as Children's ID.)






Customers may shop for food OR shop for clothing,
but may not shop for both on the same day.




Homebound Services

The Storehouse provides food to customers who are unable to leave their homes.

Certification of homebound status is required, and may be provided by physicians, home health care professionals, churches, or other agencies recognized by The Storehouse.

Homebound customers arrange for their own volunteers to pick up their food at a prearranged time.



Emergency Food Services

The Storehouse provides emergency food to customers in need outside regular customer hours.

Customers who shop for food may return in the same month and shop for clothing.






When We Are Closed:

When the Albuquerque Public Schools are closed or delayed due to bad weather, The Storehouse will be closed.

Other emergency closures may be posted on The Storehouse doors.

The Storehouse is closed on the third Wednesday of each month for cleaning and general maintenance.


In addition, The Storehouse is closed on these days:

  • Independence Day (4th of July)
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Day after Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Day (Dec 25)
  • Day After Christmas (Dec 26)
