Benefiting The Storehouse

Help save the environment, feed a community member in need, and turn your unwanted art items into someone else's treasure! Here's how:

Donate your unwanted art (photography, ceramics, paintings, art supplies, quilts, treasures) to The Storehouse and help them turn your previously owned (recycled) art into food.

The Storehouse's Recycled Art Show will be held in collaboration with Downtown Action Team at the Downtown Grower's Market on Saturday, July 25th, 7AM - 11AM. During the Recycled Art Show, The Storehouse will be selling previously owned paintings, photographs, silkscreens, frames and other fun pieces of art, all to raise money to help feed those in need in Albuquerque.

Donating or buying art from the Recycled Art Show is a great economical option for environmentally friendly art connoisseurs. Plus, each piece of art will have a price to be paid in dollars or to be paid in canned goods on July 25th.

The Storehouse is the largest food pantry in New Mexico, giving food and clothing free of charge to more than 50,000 New Mexicans in need each year. "We are excited to raise money and awareness for The Storehouse while doing an environmentally conscious act all at the same time," said Lee Maynard from The Storehouse. "The Storehouse serves an important role in the community and during difficult times we have to be creative about how to raise enough food and money to meet the increasing demand of need in our city. With the Recycled Art Show, we are able to use a resource we already have to try to generate additional, and much needed, support."

Here's how you can help!
1. Collect your finest recycled art or art supplies and donate them today.
   
   
2. Bring it to The Storehouse, 106 Broadway Blvd (south of Central).
   Donation hours are:
   Tues-Fri 8:30am to 3:30pm
   Sat 8:30am to 11:30am
   CLOSED Sun and Mon.
   
   
3. You don't even have to get out of your car! We'll unload for you! Or, call ahead to arrange a pick-up.
